Meet the Executive Director: Rev. Dr. Troy L. Denson, Sr.

My endearment of urban Black historical churches and legacy churches extend far beyond passive research; it is rooted in a deep love for the preservation, implementation, and active dissemination of practices stemming from the African precolonial, U.S. Antebellum and Postbellum eras. When renewed in contemporary but authentic ways in the present-day, these religious, educational, and social practices bless communities striving for—and sometimes just maintaining—relevance. Whether you are a pastor, deacon, or director of a significant church or ministry, a Christian educator/ educator striving to empower your humble populace of people to gain relevance in a post-gentrified neighborhood, or a doctoral student seeking the wisdom of your predecessors, we welcome you to join us in this collaborative work.

Institutional Declaration & Call for Collaboration: The National Collaborative Institute of Leadership is a non-degree granting research body dedicated purely to operational excellence and academic stewardship. We formally invite the active research, strategic participation, and scholarly inquiry of academic researchers, industry practitioners, and student scholars. While traditional academic scholarship is heavily populated by research-centered (Ph.D.) frameworks, this repository is explicitly designed to amplify practitioner-focused scholarship. We intentionally center and honor the critical, ground-level insights of clinical and executive doctoral leaders, including those holding Ed.D., D.Ed.Min., D.Min., STD, DSW, Psy.D., DMFT, DrPH, and professional medical doctors (M.D./D.O.). Your vital, evidence-based participation drives the explicit development, refinement, and advancement of actionable leadership practices across underserved communities, disadvantaged areas, and populations of color.
